Nowadays we spend almost 90% of our time indoors. The quality of indoor air crucially affects our work efficiency, comfort and health.
In any indoor environment there is a considerable amount of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, debris and chemicals. These contaminants are pulled into ventilation system and re-circulated on average 5 to 7 times per day. Although filters are used, with time the re-circulation of air causes a build-up of contaminants in the air ducts.
The ventilation system relies on good air flow in order to function optimally. Dirt and dust accumulated in the ducts hinder airflow thus forcing the ventilation system into excessive consumption of energy. Besides wasting up to 40% of energy, it makes the ventillation device work harder and thus shortens their lifetime
